As the year comes to a cold end...
Monday 21st December 2009, 8:54 PM

As the year of 09 ends it's always a good idea to look at the year and the accomplishments you have acheived, and also what the new year ahead you plan to acheive

I've inspired Paul and Brad to join the gym with me, ok, they both wanted to go, but I guess I gave them a little push to start. Either way were all getting healthier and on the way to a bit more buff Happy. I now have a mode of transport,My sexy bike. I plan to take my direct access next year and most likely invest in something a bit more powerful, I like the idea of the m25 to make some of my journeys a bit quicker in time.

Looking for a partner will take less priority next year since I realise I spend a lot of time dating and whatnot, besides I want to spend more time travelling. Pauls chuffed with his tomtom I got him and he's determined to travel further. I also want to go to Europe, different parts of the US, so no time to be stuck at home on holidays.

Move out! This year it's got to happen, either with Paul or without, I need my own space and it's gotta happen soon. Life is becoming tainted as a guy who should have moved out and still hasn't, although people havnt said it, I feel like that guy. I don't want to be that guy.

I need to earn more money also. I like my wages I guess, but I need more money, I'm greedy, besides working more adds variety, gives me more friends and best of all gives me less time to spend it!

DerekHyams.com will he changing direction; I want it to be a bay for coding and tutorials, downloads and most of all my portfolio. I've studied and need to further myself in this sector, I need to focus on design and become a stable, all rounder. Codings fine, but it's the design bug I fail to capture, which I know I suffer in. Maybe Photoshop tutorials?

Either way, in sure I'll cope, I just want to be in a very different place this time next year....

Have a lovely Christmas everyone, I hope your new years just as enjoyable Happy x

Happy New Year!
Thursday 1st January 2009, 10:52 PM

Evening peeps! I truly hope everyone has had a fantastic christmas, and an enjoyable new year. which is weird considering that was only last night. I realise i take everything to extremeties, but this christmas has been the hardest on me. on two week up to chirstmas i was writing my uni essay on server performace which i had so much trouble undertsanding it.

up to the 23rd work would not let me have any time off since it was obviously Christmas, although they did give me a significant payrise, so am very happy about that. I had to do 70% of all my xmas shopping on the 25th, and unfortunately Paul couldnt come since he had a wedding to prepare for and also family too. When i had done that i went for a nados with chris and when i got home was rushed out the door to go to my sister for christmas day, thats when i started talking to this guy called antony...

Christmas day we had a nice Christmas meal and presents, you know the usual thing. backwards and forward on my laptop talking to this guy called antony still, Its so nice to have a glass of mulled wine (since no-one else likes it) and i ended u falling asleep on the couch after three :P.

I was then taken to my mums that evening where me and antony where progressing past the ice breaking conversations and moving onto some better subject and it seemed that we had both taken a liking for each other...

Boxing day was really nice since i had another meal with turkey and goose, my sis, neices and her husband where round for that too so we had a real nice meal there, which i dont get to have often so was great for me to appreciate, again texting and chatting over phone and net.

I stayed at my mates Dan that evening wwhich was rather amusing since we had to stay in his room since the whole house had no heating, and was freezing, with no hot water either, but i fixed his TV and cabling, but only to find out his repaired home cinema wasnt so repaired.

The next day I arranged to meet this guy called antony at Bank station, which wasnt too far from Dans. I felt pretty good about meeting him, but was dreading he had a camp or high voice, as me and paul say "look like tarzan, sound like jane" Laugh. But he didnt, he look stunning, was a tall, good looking, guy...

I met him and we went back to mine since i wanted to invite some mates round for a drink and a laugh. Chris and his new partner Aaron came kieran and paul came round a bit later. We played some card games and overall it was a good night.

The next day Antony popped back to his to freshen up, and i met him that night. It was so nice sleeping in his arms and he has the cutest smile in the world, especailly when he laughs, its so incredibly sweet!

The next morning we lay in bed together doing nothing whatsoever, was great! I can be a really stressed person so hes a great person to say "stop, it doesnt matter!" -not that he literally says that but when im with him i dont really have much to worry about when im with him. By surprise he asked me it we could go out that morning, I was pretty content to say yes that morning, i mean, what did i have to lose?

When we finally got out of bed, we decided to create an event for the New Years Eve. It wasnt a bad turnout as well, the brads where so generous with the bits that they brought, wanted to thank Simon and Phil for the champagne toast, My mum for the snacks and that homemade pizza, blimey that went, i didnt even try it lol! As always i want to thank paul and ryan for making everyone feel welcome, ryan for making people giggle, and paul for the help and karaoke Happy

Finally i want to thank my sweetheart Antony for bringing me into the new year with a smile from ear to ear Smile youve really made the end of my 2008 and what a refreshing, happy, warm, loving, sweet introduction to 2009!

Christmas Made Slightly Easier
Sunday 14th December 2008, 7:40 PM

It was only when i where talking to paul the other day we had no idea what we where going to get each other, now, he says im such an akward person since i have everything i need, so for people who havnt a clue what to get me, heres a few thing i like Smile

Ok, we all know that i like my drink Happy and when i meet people i usually drink with them, but in my spare time, or time alone, it doesnt bother me, its purely for entertaining and having a laugh. Drinking gifts for christmas (minus the scorpian vodka) are not what im looking for, and please! if you know what you want let me know too!

Christmas over, swirving into the new year precauciously
Wednesday 26th December 2007, 12:00 AM

So who had a fun christmas? Mine wasn't bad, seeing family but walking home at 2:30am on christmas day was a bit bollacks since me and my brother had an argument, him keeping me awake all night, snoring and since that was all he cared about, him gettig a good night sleep, I decided to leave my sisters house, and walk home, which was about a mile away.

the next day we kinda patched things up, but he is selfish in his nature, that's him.

Got Xmas I got quite a few nice gifts, a moonjar from Paul, drink dispensers from Ryan, funky bright clubwear from amy, a snazzy cappachino maker from mum, wii from dad (now sporting wii injury), money from relatives, a retro petrol style drinks pump from sister and baileys gift set and many more gifts. Many thanks for them all, and I'm just trying to find a decent place for them all!

I am now available for hire!
The one thing I bought for Christmas for myself was some decks, yes I am now a fully pledged DJ and have had plenty of time to practice, I've been a PC DJ for a long time now but fully switching to decks is a great feeling but about 10x the intensity, its rather hard work, but then again you got alot more buttons to play with Smile

I've got my first gig on the 28th of December for mr brads birthday, and are looking forward to it, look out for DJ Dellboy at a small gay venue near you!

I havnt a clue what I'm doing to new years eve, but if someone needs a pint-sized DJ, give us a shout!

Kisses, hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and wishing everyone a funky, eventful new year x

Back from holiday!
Friday 12th October 2007, 8:42 PM

Just come back from holiday, Spent 5 Days with family and their next door neighbour, and went to Cornwall, wasn’t bad and weather was ok, but you cant expect too much this time of the year. Needed a little break since work was getting a bit stressful, and needed some time away from the boys and the booze, but that wasn’t to say I didn’t drink down there Wink

It’s a 5 hour drive so quite tedious, but services, music moods, and a rest split the journey up. After the crap that the previous guy escalated, I cant be bothered with men, too much hassle, and may just take it easy for a bit, I mean at the moment, you can do much better than your own mates, and I’m quite partial to mine Smile I’ve got to get around to giving the other room some paint; it’s looking a tad shabby so hope to do that at some point.

‘Tis the season to be broke! Christmas is coming soon and money wise I can’t be bothered with it, otherwise I’m quite looking forward to it. I haven’t a clue what to get people and I guess, but me and Paul will be doing out drunk Christmas shopping again, and I really am looking forward to it, was phenomenal last year, a afternoon of drinking, and an evening of laughing and hopefully Paul wont slice his finger open on a Debenhams fixture Laugh.

At the moment we’ve got another 190 miles to do till we drop next door off in Chelmsford, then drop me off, then back to Goodmayes for me! Grr, so long!

Peace out!

Christmas Drinking... Em Shopping
Sunday 26th November 2006, 12:00 AM

What happens when you can't choose presents for relative and friends for Christmas? Get drunk…

The risk you encounter is that when 1 out of 2 people don't get drunk you just have to keep on going but not when nothing gets done…

We wanted to start proper early about 11 for London but since we where delayed by weather and other issues we ended up getting to London at 2. We started at GAY and since the barmen couldn't distinguish the difference between kronenberg and cranberry with vodka we was in the bar for a maximum of 5 minutes since we downed our first drink there. We was going to move onto village but since that was shut we went to Ku Bar and had another cranberry and vodka, then a purple WKD (2xWKD red and WKD blue mixed) with two cherry shots mixed, then another shot, I had pineapple sourz and Paul had apple sourz. After that I wanted one more drink before we left I had a double Malibu and coke, whilst Paul had a double apple schnapps and coke. We then moved onto BarroomBar in Chinatown where we both had a generous archers and lemonade then onto waxy O'Conner's a bar with a tree in the centre and in some parts low ceilings, great for shot people. I had a baileys and Paul had a house wine he could still taste further on in the night.

By the time we had all done that village was open, and since a shot with a mixer is only £2 we just went a bit mad, £12 of drinks please. 4 cranberry voddies and 2 Malibu and cokes, I had the Malibu 's and 2 C&V's leaving Paul with the rest. We also had testers of 2 drinks too; practically a dribble in a shot glass but wow was very nice. One was like nutty baileys, very nice and the second being in a very distinct shaped bottle, It was a blackcurrant nectar very sweet but well worth a second look at sometime in the future. Oh and also we had one more drink. One Cherry VK and one Apple VK. We stumbled out of village and went into prowler where I chose a nice top and some Aussiebum underwear I wanted, I was going to buy the top but Paul offered to get me both for Christmas, what a sweetheart, so that's me sorted.

Good news I didn't throw up, but me and Paul had to stop for a moment for me to catch some air otherwise it would been a bit messy, but otherwise we was giddy with excitement and to make matters worse I now had to shop where I work… drunk… I didn't plan for that. Here comes the part we didn't expect.

We walked through BHS, the store right next to John Lewis. We stood for a moment when a gentleman comes up to Paul and pointed at the floor only to find a stream of blood dripping from Paul's hand, he had been shot! Sorry I'm only kidding. I'm terrible. He had somehow cut his finger on a fixture or a door or something, at this point we tried to clear it up with what we had on us while a store attendant come back to us saying “he'll be here in 5 minutes”… em 5 minutes? That's a bit long winded for a first aider if I was in that situation I wouldn't say that. A security guard who had no idea whatsoever took us into a staff area while we waited there as I asked for a manager. I made such a stink up about it since no one had no idea what to do, the first aider just gave us the box and said “take what you want” I'm not even a qualified first aider and my store and I was seeing my own friends wound while they all sat back and watched. Useless. At this point I was fuming, they didn't know what to do and I imagine hey had a hard time figuring out what an incident book was. By that time I thought fuck it and just got the first aider in JL. Time had absolutely flew by because by the time we had sorted all that out, went to have a look round my department, and then went to the toy department the lights where being turned off, and the store was closing, I couldn't believe it, I had to grab 3 presents for my nieces in a really short space of time and from then It was a mad hurry. I tried to be a quick as possible in the carphone warehouse getting one more present I just wish service was a bit more speedier. At this point we where getting a little tiresome and had a little bicker because I felt Paul had got no shopping done, and I wanted him to choose a place to eat and felt that he was mad at me because of that. We went to Nandos's (Obviously) and had a massive platter of food and a long chat about things that he was feeling recently and he said some things that really made me feel touched, so much be both was a little teary. Once I knew what was up with him and why he was feeling a little emotional we was able to bring the nights pace up a few strokes and went back to KU bar at this point I had 4 bags and Paul had large package which are the worst to carry, through London really didn't help as I was really on full steam whacking people with bags who failed to use their eyes. We tried so hard to get one last drink out of the night. Paul went to get some cash out while I went into KU and unfortunately got wristbands that gave us 2 for 1 on WKD's since we where unable to use them.

After that mad day we ended up going home, and chilling at mine. Paul stayed at mine since he missed his last bus. And then went to bed. In total we spent around £60 on drinks… ouch
